Guidelines For Spiritual Development Classes at Hope Memorial
Spiritual Church
Classes run
from October to April. Classes are closed after the first 3 (three) weeks.
Class members are selected. The final 2 (two) classes are open, to introduce
potential members for the next session.

AIMS & PURPOSE:
- To develop one's spiritual
self...through meditation, dedication, and conversation with the spirit guides
and teachers.
- To develop one's spiritual
gifts.
- Mediumship (channelling
and/or trance work)
- Inspirational
Speaking
- Inspirational
Writing
- Spiritual
Healing
- To assist those in
spirit who are seeking their own spiritual growth.
- To develop a desire to serve
spirit, by becoming workers in the vineyard.
HOW DOES THE CIRCLE
FUNCTION OR OPERATE?
- The teacher seats each
student carefully, to create a balance of energies to facilitate the blending
and chemical processing of spirit and student energies.
- Each chair is labelled and
used week after week, as even your chair goes through a chemical and
vibrational process.
- We sit in the dark...because
all growth begins in the dark. Seeds sprout in the dark. This also allows
students to observe lights and ectoplasm which would be impossible to see if
the lights were on.
- All students must be seated
before 6:55pm as classes begin on time, and the door is locked (to prevent
interruptions).
COMMITMENT:
- All students must commit to
sitting for the full course, as absenteeism affects the energy...and therefore,
the success of the class as a whole. If the energy is not consistent,
manifestations such as apports, trumpets moving, and spirit communication
through trance work, cannot occur with ease. Therefore, any student missing
three classes, without just cause, shall be asked to leave the class until the
following year.
- You must treat all
classmates and all visiting entities with respect and good manners. This is
only common courtesy. You cannot DEMAND of spirit. You can "ask" with
sincerity, and often the answers you are seeking will be given to you (the
higher the purpose, the more likely you will receive an answer).
PREPARATION FOR
CLASS:
- On the day you sit for class
it is advisable to eat very lightly...or fast
- Leave ALL problems of the
day outside the church. Our concentration should be on spiritual
matters
- Be a team player
- Bring your own water to
drink before class as water assists spirit
- Footwear is removed before
class. Purses, keys and loose change are left in the kitchen
- After class...do your share
to put the church back in order

will be provided to you in class

The
healing course will be of approximately 12 (twelve) weeks in
length.
ATTENDING THE FULL COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT A HEALING
CERTIFICATE WILL BE AWARDED.

- Responsibilities (healing
the Healer), Guidelines
- Chakras, Auras, Healing
Energies
- Share knowledge in a
supportive, harmonious environment
- Become aware of healing
guides and teachers
- Understand beliefs and
healing connection
- Comprehend responsibilities
of being a healing channel
The course of study may
also provide opportunities to explore other healing methods, if time
allows.
Discussion will be an important part of this course as we are
here to learn together. It will be through open sharing that we all
benefit.
ATTENDING THE FULL COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT A HEALING
CERTIFICATE WILL BE AWARDED. The Universe is in charge of when any one person
is ready to become a healer. There is no set rate for blossoming. Certainly,
the information and experience will be helpful to this goal. Your intent,
effort, desire, commitment and life path will determine the
outcomes.
There will be a written test, as well as "hands on"
experiential assessment.
OVERALL
GOAL:
Spiritual healing is based
on the example of our elder brother, Jesus the Christ. By studying many
different Biblical references and other written materials, we will attempt to
learn about, understand and practice spiritual healing.
In becoming channels for God's healing energy, we not
only help others but ourselves as well.
COMMITMENT:
- Everyone is asked to commit
to the twelve weeks and to attend the Healing Service that precedes Healing
class.
PREPARATION FOR
CLASS:
- Please bring writing
materials. A binder that you can also put your handouts into would probably
work best.
- The cost is $20.00 each
month payable on the first or last week of the month.
